Board Members
Lee Ann George
Lee Ann is a retired school teacher who has lived in Wabash for over 50 years. With a passion for children and education, she serves on the board for both The Montessori School at WPC and the Wabash County Museum. Lee Ann has been a member of the Wabash Presbyterian Church for over 45 years, and serves as an Elder in the church.
Pat Plummer
Pat was active in the practice of Physical Therapy for 53 years and spent the last 20 years in Pediatrics. She worked with young children who had sensory issues and developmental delays. Therapy was performed through specialized play experiences with good success. It is her belief that children learn through guided play activities and have a chance to enjoy their childhood at the same time. They gain knowledge, confidence and self esteem without pressure to sit and follow what everyone else is doing. For this reason she is pleased to be a member of the board for The Montessori School at WPC.
Carol Early
After 34 years teaching Kindergarten, Carol is thrilled to have a Montessori school in our community. She continues to support best practices in early childhood education by teaching college level classes at a local university. Being a life time resident of Wabash, a member of the WPC, and a grandma makes serving on this board a joy.
Kira Lace Hawkins
Kira Lace Hawkins is an Actor and the Education Director at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts. She and her husband Zach and their two children live in North Manchester where Zach farms with his father on Hawkins Family Farm. Kira serves on the board as a parent representative and is thankful for the chance to work with and advocate for the school.
Hayley Renbarger
Hayley Renbarger, mother of Beckett and Florence and spouse of Ty, was born and raised in Wabash, and still calls it her home. Hayley started serving on the Montessori Board after her daughter completed her first year of Montessori school. Hayley is passionate about serving in the community.
After a decade in PR, Development, and Marketing, Hayley now volunteers her time through the arts, schools, and tourism office. Outside of working and volunteering you can find Hayley taking a long run, traveling, or spending intentional time with the people she cherishes the most.
